Learn the basics of skating
Are you looking to learn to play roller derby? We’ll teach you! Our 14 week Introductory Skater Program will cover the basics of skating, gameplay & all things roller derby. Lessons begin on August 3rd, taking place at the Eagles Lodge at 21 Cool Springs Rd on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm
Referees and Officials Welcome!
Positions taught include those wishing to play roller derby as well as skating AND non-skating officials. There’s a wide array of positions fitting for everybody in our sport. Referees, Jam Timer, Penalty Box manager & more: We’ll help you find the one that fits you best!
Transfer & Visiting Skaters
Already Play but new to Fredericksburg? Skaters transferring with prior experience please provide Roller Derby name, number, WFTDA number and reference from prior league to aid in skill level assessments.
Drop-in skaters may attend a practice for a 10$ fee per session & contacting our coaches ahead so we may be aware of your skating level and when you'll be joining us!
Join our team
Just like everything else, we all pay dues. As a member of ISP, you will pay $25 for the duration of the 7 week program. WHEN you succeed in the program, dues become $50 per month and include our expertise training, voting rights for league issues and roster opportunities.
